Setup Instructions

IMPORTANT:
Read Instructions Completely Before Proceeding.

Make sure your fireplace is clean and cool. Remove fireplace doors, screen and grate.
Unpack your Fireplace Radiator™ and lay out all the pieces.

Laying the parts out makes setup much easer.

Step 1. Insert the two leveling bolts provided (part #2) into hollow plenum radiator (part #1) as shown in picture below. If your fireplace is level with your hearth then leveling bolts may not be needed.

Parts #1 and #3

Step 3. Slide extension pipes (part #4) over intake/exhaust pipes (part#3).

Slide part #4 over part #3

Step 4. Place partially assembled Fireplace Radiator with plenum (radiator) against back wall of your fireplace.

Step 5. Pull extension pipes (part #4) outward until pipes are flush with fire box opening.

Step 6. Adjust leveling bolts until pipes are level in fireplace. In some cases, leveling bolts may not be needed.

Step 7. Assemble main air diverter bar (part #6, #7and #11). As shown in the pictures below. Setup diverter bar

Step 8. Slide intake sleeve (part #8) into bar with the inserted flanged extension sleeve (part #11) and place it adjacent to blower box. Part #8 must be put in correctly for the proper air flow. Be sure that the side opening of the intake sleeve (part #8) faces blower box.

Step 10. Slide extension sleeve (part  #10) out from main air diverter bar (part #6) and adjust as needed.

Step 11. Place blower in position and insert end of air diverter bar into blower case. Secure blower assembly to diverter bar with sheet metal screw (provided)through pre-drilled hole on flange.

Step 12. Slide intake and exhaust sleeves into cast iron extension pipes. Sleeves will slide into pipes approximately one inch. Adjust main air diverter bar along with cast iron extension tubes so that the diverter bar is flush with the outside opening of the fireplace.

Step 13. Secure extension pipes to intake/exhaust pipes with bolts (provided) into predrilled holes.

Step 14. Seal pipe joints where extension pipes (part #4) slide over the intake/exhaust pipes (part #3) with furnace cement (provided) as shown in picture below. Follow directions on furnace cement tube. Allow adhesive 1-2 hours to dry. Once dry, build a fire to cure. No other sealing is needed. (Note: After securing intake/exhaust pipes as stated in step 10, you may remove the front air diverter bar to gain better access for sealing pipes with the furnace cement.)

Use furnace cement on pipe joints.

Step 15. Plug blower cord into power outlet. WARNING. DO NOT route power cord in front of the fireplace opening or across any surface that is exposed to foot traffic.

Your Fireplace Radiator is now ready for use.
